We wish to strengthen our team and are therefore looking for a district physician for Primary Care West and our health center in Vindeln.

Primary Care West is a base unit with four health centers in both urban and rural areas, distributed across four municipalities: Vindeln, Vännäs, Bjurholm, and Umeå. The health centers collaborate closely within the base unit. Good connections with local and regional transport facilitate commuting to, from, and between our units.

The Vindeln health center is located about 60 km from Umeå and is responsible for health care within Vindeln municipality, which has just over 5,000 inhabitants. Approximately 30 employees work at the health center. The services provided are broad and comprehensive from a primary care perspective. The Vindeln health center is a small and family-like unit with short decision-making paths and great opportunities to influence one’s own work situation. Many of our doctors combine their clinical roles with research in relevant areas. The work climate is good, and the ambition is high. The role of district physician at the Vindeln health center offers an exciting and varied assignment for those who are specialists in general medicine.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a specialist in general medicine, also known as a district physician, at the Vindeln health center, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better. You play a key role in providing security and high-quality care throughout the patient’s life. This means taking care of and treating a wide range of health issues, including those not caused by definable diseases.

Your tasks range from child health care (BVC) to elderly care (special housing and home healthcare), and you will be an important part of our medical team, where collegial collaboration and participation in development work are encouraged. You are active in the base unit's medical group and collaborate with other professional groups. The role also includes mentoring students, ST doctors, and AT doctors.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed specialist in general medicine, with experience or interest in working in a varied and stimulating environment. A genuine interest in mentoring students and training doctors is also important. If you have completed research training and are active in clinical research, that is particularly meritorious.

You are a present and positive person who, with expert knowledge and care, sees the patient and contributes to a holistic view that makes the care process better and safer. We appreciate positivity, flexibility, and the value of collegial collaboration.
